The Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Syed Amin Ul Haque inaugurates the kick-off event of Telecom Foundation Digital Transformation

Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Ameen Ul Haque has said that digital transformation is an imperative bedrock for building an economically progressive Pakistan and one of the main priorities for the present government, under Prime Minister Mr Imran Khan. Federal Minister for IT said this during his visit to the Telecom Foundation (TF) Headquarters here on Wednesday where as a chief guest he inaugurated the kick off of the digital transformation of the Telecom Foundation group. On his arrival at the TF Headquarters, Managing Director TF, Syed Zomma Mohiuddin welcomed the Federal Minister for IT, Syed Ameen ul Haq and the Federal Secretary and Chairman of the foundation Mr Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui. The visit marked an impressive ceremony at the auditorium of Telecom Foundation where an agreement was signed between Telecom Foundation (TF) and Sysnet Pakistan Pvt. Ltd on full-scale digitization of the foundations operations

The event commenced with the holy recitation of the Quran, following which, the Managing Director TF presented the strategic master plan of the new management for the foundation that directly contributed to the vision of the Govt and the Ministry of IT in promoting a Digital Pakistan as well as in transformation of the underprivileged communities across the country through welfare based services. This included building of new schools in the rural areas of Pakistan as well as expanding ICT human resource and infrastructure development in Pakistan as well as going into green and smart energy, construction and software technology parks, all on the foundations of digitally connected processes. The CEO of Sysnet, Mr Nasser Akhtar briefed the audience on his companys long standing contribution to the digital transformation of the corporate sector in Pakistan and how the transformation of TF was viewed by him as part of contribution to nation building. The Federal Secretary IT and Chairman of the foundation Mr Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui in his address appreciated the vision of the foundations new management in uplifting the underprivileged communities through digital transformation and hoped that the entity would become one of the most credible and flagship welfare organizations in the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Amin ul Haque, Federal Minister IT&T said the present Government of Pakistan was committedly facilitating the IT industry through numerous digitization projects, research and innovation, software technology parks, subsidized bandwidth, international marketing, international certifications, internships and trainings. The GOP had a holistic strategy for positioning Pakistan globally. He observed that the agreement between TF and Sysnet Pakistan would benefit thousands of underprivileged lives through education, training, skill enhancement and job creation, thereby providing solutions for the national and international challenges in twenty first century and beyond.

Following the signing of the agreement, the Federal Minister presented shields and certificates among the key people driving the TF digital transformation project. Present among the dignitaries who witnessed the Signing Ceremony were senior government officials from Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication, CEOs of TFs subsidiaries Pak Datacom and TF Pipes Ltd and senior members of Telecom Foundation and Sysnet Pakistan Pvt. Ltd. The event concluded with a tree plantation ceremony at the TF Headquarter building.
