EVP Administration HQs July, 2010-Sept, 2010
As EVP administration oversee construction and renovation of buildings and projects to improve efficiency as well as ensure that facilities meet environmental, health and security standards and comply with the government regulations.
Leading a team of skilled managers to prepare and review operational reports and schedules to ensure accuracies and efficiencies, analyze internal processes and recommend and implement procedural changes to improve operations.
Direct and coordinate, monitor facilities to ensure that it remains safe, secure and well maintained, plan and administer and control budgets for contracts, equipments and supplies.
GM HRA PTCL HQ, Islamabad 2005-July, 2010
As GM HRA is responsible for leading a team of HR management professionals and support staff for the provision of a full HR service.
Responsibilities include leading and coordinating ERMs-Employee Relation Managers at HQ and regional level to negotiate on employee trust building issues and managing the development and implementation of PTCL HR policies at grass root level.
Key achievements include:
1. Development of an HR strategy linked to business and industrial operational goals; implementation of a modern leadership style/structure and to achieve productivity, improvements and cultural change through cross functional projects and team work.

2. Facilitating a major culture change project to promote organizational and individual learning to joint company and employee initiatives.

3. Implementation of performance management and development processes for all staff; significant improvements in flexibility of labour resource to deal with changing demand.

4. Development of a ‘’partnership’’ approach to the management of PTCL and employee relations.

Director Admin I, II & Services 1998-2005
PTCL HQ.
Responsible to General /manager for the development and implementation of effective Human Resources policies and procedures in a highly acquisitive business environment with 60,000 employees and over 14 regional locations across Pakistan.
Providing all functions with full HR support in acquiring and integrating newly acquired companies and driving through major restructuring programmes; also responsible for leading a number of other HR projects as follows:
Key achievements include:
Restructure of Pensions, health facilities across the company resulting in significant cost savings, improved benefits and reduced administration.

Developed and implemented programmes to harmonize of benefits and terms of employment achieving enhanced labour flexibility and mobility.

Implementation of Recruitment, Relocation, Redundancy and Administrative procedures to achieve business objectives, best practice, consistency, and legal compliance.

General Manager Outside Plant (OSP) TF on Deputation 1996-1998.
Responsible for planning, installation, testing and commissioning of Primary/Secondary cables, Cabinets, DP`S up to customer`s premises.
Successfully lead the team to complete the project in North and Central Zone.

ADE/DE Phones/Director Admin 1977-1996.
As ADE Phones and later being promoted as DE Phones my experience involves working with all kinds of telecommunication networks of PTCL including maintenance of VF cable outside Plant of telephone exchanges from MDF to Subscriber premises.

Operations and maintenance including Subscriber Management; digital Telephone exchange, VHF radio links for providing telecom facilities to remote areas, planning and installation of primary and secondary cables, cabinets and DPS to facilitate new customers; feasibility studies; site surveying, and selection based on line of sight.

Preparation of path profiles between selected sites; software based linked engineering; network planning; preparation of detailed financial estimates; and management of financial resources of different projects; administration and management of staff.
